In the introductory part of the 6-part series we look at the organization of the liturgical year which evolves around two cycles of the holy seasons of Christmas and Easter. We learn that the year comprises of six sections. We will learn about the “Ordo” which is the directory the dioceses around the world use in order to provide details of the readings and liturgical celebrations throughout the year. The Ordo organizes the reading into three-year cycles for Sundays readings and two-year cycles for weekdays readings.
