One Candle - by Andy Beck - Performed by Winchester High School

Hello students, families, and residents of Winchester. Our Winchester High School’s H.E.A.R.T. (Honesty, Expression, Acceptance, Respect, and Teamwork, together) Choir has been working on a project for some time now, and in light of recent events we thought now would be a good time to share.

We have produced our very first virtual piece titled “One Candle,” by Andy Beck with lyrics by Brian Fisher and Andy Beck. “One Candle” sends the message that in hard times, we must come together to find our way.

We remember all those who have been adversely affected by Covid-19, as well as the victims in Georgia and Colorado. We stand in solidarity with the Asian community in Winchester and beyond, and we call for everyone to do their part in treating others as equal. We stand up to stop hate. “One Candle’ symbolizes peace and unity and together we hope that our country can move forward to heal.

The WHS H.E.A.R.T. Choir wishes that the message resonates with you, and urges you to help our community come together.
