The great milk cow vs milk goat debate. We’re discussing the differences and what some of the pros and cons of each is for a homestead. Although I'm sure there are more things to consider, I've done my best to put together a comprehensive comparison based on owning both dairy goats and dairy cows.

I’ve mentioned it before, but it seems like the pinnacle of homesteading is having your own dairy animal whether it be a cow, goat, or even a sheep. A lot of times people seem to be all one way or the other on which one is best. In reality, they each have their pros and cons and both aren’t suitable for every person and their homestead.
