How to Crop Your Webcam in OBS Studio

Like all source layers in OBS your webcam or camera source can also be cropped. Cropping a webcam in OBS can be done multiple ways, with each having their own advantages and disadvantages. The fastest method to crop your camera is to use the Alt crop method. This requires you to hold the alt button on your keyboard while you drag in the sides or corners. The red source layer outline will then turn green on the sides you have applied a crop to.

This fast crop method is best for crops that don’t require precision, such as cropping a webcam to fit under a camera overlay. However if you need the webcam to be cropped with precision, then the edit transform menu will allow you to adjust crop better: This method for cropping allows you to adjust your OBS crop by specified pixel amounts, and adjust the crop one pixel at a time.
