Let's explore the beautiful town of Buhi in Camarines Sur.
Buhi is most known for its Lake Buhi - the 1,800 hectare freshwater lake that was created out of volcanic activity and is located between Mount Asog and Mount Malinao.
The Lake Buhi is also considered to be the most famous lake in the entire Bicol region not only because of its relaxing view but also because it is home to the world's smallest commercial fish called "Sinarapan". Unfortunately, because Sinarapan is facing a near-extinction due to overfishing in the 1990's, catching them has already been prohibited. Today, the lake is still one of the major aquaculture areas in the Bicol Region where commercial production of the Filipino favorite fish "Tilapia" is done.
