The founder of the 70 million dollar NFT collection Pixelmon is caught on a NFT spending spree. After the disaster reveal of their NFTs. The founder was caught buying up Mutant Apes, Azukis, even Invisible Friends. Although the team members were given a percentage of the funds to be immediately paid out, how does this reflect the team’s focus and the game’s development? Pixelmon was a NFT that initially raised 70 million dollars making the price of each mint to be around 3TH. They were supposed to be the next pokemon in the nft space with the promise of making a triple A NFT game. But after raising the money the price on OpenSea tanked and now it has dropped even lower after the reveal. The Pixelmon NFT asked the community for at least a year to turn it around, but I think it might be too late for this company.
