On Monday (30 March), Element AI, a fundamental research, products and services company with offices in Montreal, Toronto, Singapore, Seoul, and London released a free web-platform to help industry researchers in medical science, pharmaceutical and government working to respond to COVID-19.

Element AI has access to some of the most respected data scientists and AI PhDs in the world.

Element AI is co-founded by JF Gagné, serial entrepreneur and business leader (in Top 40 under 40 Entrepreneurs in Canada) and professor Yoshua Bengio, PhD (A.M. Turing Award recipient 2019, and 'Godfather of AI and Deep Learning'.)

The company is contributing to help accelerate the work that global health organizations, scientists and governments are conducting to mitigate and address COVID-19.

The US just released access to over 40,000 scientific research works called the COVID-19 Open Research Dataset or (CORD-19).

The issue is that for scientific groups and healthcare professionals, searching and querying the 33,000 scholarly papers to find semantic-based matching information is time consuming and challenging in finding useful results and patterns.

JF and Jérôme will talk about why this free platform, based on the Element AI product 'Knowledge Scout' will make a difference in the race to find ways to neutralize/ stop the curve growth and ultimately find treatment and vaccine for this global pandemic.
