This version of the story updates the original comics, which are more than three decades old, by placing them in the present day, following Morpheus after he escaped his imprisonment on Earth, where he was 105 years old, because the occultist Roderick wanted to capture Death in 1912, but instead she got her brother and... left him. But now, after escaping, he must reclaim his three totems of his power (a sandbag, a helmet, and a ruby) in order to restore the dilapidated dream world.

“Forgive me, lord of the palace, kingdom, they are not what you left them. With you gone, the realm began to decay and crumble,” Death explains to his brother in the teaser, which you can watch below.

“It seems that dreams and nightmares no longer recognize their monster. Who will remind them? the teaser also notes.

However, his re-arrival has turned many's heads, and the more characters learn of Dream's "out of his cage," the more obstacles will be in his path to reclaiming these totems.
