GORGEOUS New Drugstore Lipstick: L'Oreal Matte Resistance Liquid Lipstick (more info in caption)

L'Oreal sent me three shades of their matte resistance liquid lipsticks. I have to say, I’m very impressed.

There’s a faint vanilla scent, which is SO refreshing to see from L’Oreal, given their products usually have a strong fruity floral perfume that I despise. There is a slight floral taste because it's clearly a vanilla perfume that was added but I mostly don't taste it. I think that's a step in the right direction.

This formula is extremely thin and spreadable, so there is a particular way I have to apply this to avoid getting too much product on my lips. First, wipe excess product off the applicator, then apply a little to the bottom lip, press lips together, and spread with your finger.

If I don’t do that, this product gets ALL over my teeth. For whatever reason, if I apply too much or don’t let the formula dry first, this gets in my mouth and it’s really gross. (Has this happened to anyone else?!) So be sure not to apply too much.

As for the texture, it’s a really comfortable matte lip formula. It’s not a balmy, velvet lip cream - it’s a true matte liquid lipstick that dries down, but it maintains a somewhat flexible texture on the lips while being transfer-proof. It also had a noticeable blurring quality on the lips which I looooooove.

I wear Breakfast in Bed in an upcoming YouTube video and I’ll definitely be keeping that, along with Le Rouge Paris.
