Digital Pathology

Diagnosis is a basis for proper treatment. That is why it is very essential not only to prepare slides of high quality, but also make it ASAP. Pathologists work with stained slides, examine them under the microscope trying to figure out is there any pathology process in tissue sample that indicates, for example, tumor development. This is a standard procedure. But today more and more specialists start using digital technologies – combining microscope examination with digital slide analysis. In order to get digital image of the slide lab needs special instrument – slide scanner. For example, slide scanner Nanozoomer SQ developed by Hamamatsu company. Simple microscope with camera wouldn’t work in case we are talking about images of high quality and resolution.


Another usefull instrument for telemedicine is Histoviewer. It is universal platform for digital slides analysis. You can use it as you want – it’s all up to you and your goals: tumor board screen, presentation platform, base for study classes of histology-students.
