6:56 Summary

I've been fortunate to test this super innovative tool designed specifically for photographers wanting more reliable and precise focus under the starry sky.

The Focus On Stars filter is further developed Bahtinov-mask type filter, beating its competitors hands down:
it works with wide angle lenses too,
made of durable glass,
easier to use,
the diffraction spikes are brighter.

Overall, I've been very impressed by how much better the Focus On Stars filter is compared to other Bahtinov mask devices.
While the traditional Bahtinov masks were designed for astrophotographers having a telescope, they don't really work on "normal" lenses use by ordinary night photographers.

Then came Gábor Takács, a hungarian astrolandscape photographer, and her further improved the Bahtinov mask design by making the mask super thin and putting it in a grid pattern.

These make it super easy to use even on wide lenses - something that's impossible with the traditional Bahtinov mask.
