Pala Casino Spa and Resort Room Tour

Hi it’s Sheri from CruiseTipsTV. Today we take a look at Pala Casino and Resort. A little over 52 miles, or about an hours drive from San Diego’s B Street Cruise Ship Terminal, Pala Casino Spa and Resort is not exactly the ideal “night-before-pre-cruise” destination. But, if you’ve got a few extra days in San Diego, you’re not likely to regret staying a Pala.

Here’s a look at our room at the hotel. This is a bright spacious room with plenty of places to relax or work. There is a large flat screen TV bracketed by two useable work areas suitable for laptops. It’s has a good size comfortable bed. The cabinet below this Flat screen TV hides drawers, a mini bar, as you would expect, as well as the safe. Here’s a good look at that mini bar. The wardrobe was more than enough space for our clothes and luggage. There is a beautiful mountain view that comes with this room. The central feature of the bathroom is of course the bathtub. Nice and big. The shower is nice too. There’s some storage under the sink if you need a little extra space.

There are a ton of restaurants a Pala – about 10, though we usually ended up at the café. We liked Amigo’s as well, but sadly we heard it has closed, along with Mama's Cucina. New restaurants are scheduled for 2015.

There’s plenty of cardio equipment and everything was in perfect working order during our visit. There’s even a nice mirrored area with decent amount of free weights.

If you are more of a swimmer, then Pala’s got you covered. There’s a terrific pool area complete with awesome cabanas. Each cabana features a variety of amenities including a flat screen television. There’s high speed internet access and even a mini-bar. And of course, every pool area needs a poolside Café & Bar.

This is a great place to relax soak up the sun. We always have a terrific time when we stay at Pala.
