Launched on December 31st, 1914, the Red Star Line's SS Belgenland enjoyed a unique and fascinating career. She was hastily completed and renamed SS Belgic during World War One and it wasn't until 1923 that she was fully completed as envisioned. Entering service at a time of change she adapted to an evolving industry and became an unexpected hit offering extended world cruises.
