We at Global Perspectives (http://www.bootheglobalperspectives.com) decided to investigate train travel from west to east, in the USA. People have been traveling this route for over 100 years and it hasn't changed much. After riding airplanes and driving cars all over the nation for 40 years, we decided to re-visit the train. It surprised us. Roomier and more comfortable than a car. Quieter than an airplane. The ability to walk around, have a snack, eat a dinner, or even sleep in your own bed. My area had 2 electric plugs and I got a day's office work done, while glancing out from time to time to see the view. Yes, I had a remote internet plug, and was on line much of the time. I even watched "Lonesome Dove" on NetFlicks while traveling. Well, they say it is cheap, environmentally efficient, safe. I would have to agree. Our train system is not bad.
