Hypothermic Patients

Hypothermia is simply a lowering of the body's normal temperature. Significant hypothermia begins at body temperatures below 95 degrees Fahrenheit.

personnel can both observe and measure the most important of these:

Pulse (slow to none);
Breathing (slow to none);
Mental status (slurred speech, unresponsiveness to pain or verbal stimulus, staggering walk or unconsciousness);
Cold skin; and
Low rectal temperature.

You may want to add blankets to your vehicle first aid kit!
