YEAAAH GUYS, how about another amazing video? 😮

This video, as the name suggests, is nothing less than a 100% TAS of Super Mario Advance 2: the Super Mario World of Gameboy Advance! In this TAS I get ALL 96 EXITS and all DRAGON COINS from ALL LEVELS, completing 100% of the game in less than 1 and a half hours!

As far as I know, the previous record was held by ISM, made in 2009 ( https://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm6307625 ) and this TAS is just over 1 minute faster.

This TAS is the result of several months of work, however, I interrupted it a few times, so overall it should take about 1 month of pure work. It was an extremely fun TAS to do!

Super Mario Advance 2 is a very well-done version of Super Mario World for the Gameboy Advance. I confess that I didn't know and had never played this version, but as soon as I played it, it was love at first sight 😆🖤

There are several differences between this GBA version of SMW and the SNES version. Among them are (forgive me if I forget something):

🔴 The GBA version only has 1 run button. Therefore, it is not possible to rotate the cape while holding an item, for example, or rotate the cape while flying at any time. To do this, it is necessary to rotate the cape in specific frames so that Mario does not lose his flight.
🔴 In the SNES version, as soon as you complete the special world, the colors on the map, the shells and some other sprites change. In the GBA version, this only happens after you complete all 96 exits (nothing happens when completing Special World).
🔴 Several glitches don't work in the GBA, including block duplication, double grab, holding an item on Yoshi, stun glitch, etc. The GBA version is somewhat limited in terms of glitches and you will feel this in TAS.
🔴 The GBA version has a cutscene for when the player collects all 96 exits and also a cutscene for when the player collects all the dragon coins. You will see it at the end of the video (you cannot skip these cutscenes).
🔴 The GBA version contains Dragon Coins in all levels, including Castles and Ghost Houses, with the exception of Switch Palaces.
🔴 The life limit on the GBA is 999 lives, while on the SNES it is only 99 lives.

There are a few more differences, but they are more technical details that are not as relevant.

NOTE: I used the Japanese version to do this TAS because it was the only version that had a lua script available and also because it is about 1 second faster at loading the title screen.

NOTE 2: There are several improvements in this TAS that I unfortunately discovered after having already done it, mainly a zip on the turn blocks in Star World 1 (it's possible to do it, but not in the same way as the SNES).
