Help! There’s a Natural Gas Leak Inside My House | How To Perform a Gas Pressure Test

Upon arrival we performed a gas pressure test on the natural gas piping in the home. System could not maintain 4psi of pressure. After some discussion with the homeowner we were given the permission to proceed. We found a concealed 1" union above the laundry room ceiling.

This is a code violation of 2010 Fuel Gas Code of NY 404.3 Piping in Concealed Locations which clearly states: portions of a piping system installed in concealed locations shall not have unions, tubing fittings, right an left couplings, bushings, compression couplings and swing joints made by a combinations of fittings.
