My first time modding a gun with Gun4IR tech and overall I think it went okay-ish. If I were to go back and redo it there would be some things I would change like making sure the camera is more properly aligned.

Honestly the hardest part about modding the gun isn’t even the soldering, once you know what your doing and how to apply flux and making sure to tin your iron with solder and all that it’s pretty straight forward. The hard part is trying to fit all the Arduino stuff inside the gun and making sure everything works and is aligned properly (especially with the camera). For my first time it came out alright however I definitely wish I pushed the camera further back inside the gun before hot gluing because now I have to stand further back when playing compared to using my modded time crisis gun which doesn’t have this issue. I think I also didn’t align the camera 100% as the diamond when setting the calibration was a little bit tilted but after after some time spent calibrating it worked fine enough.

I tested it out playing some House of the Dead 2 and Point Blank 2 so enjoy the epic arcade lightgun action 💥🔫
