UGC is releasing draft guidelines for offering the Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Programme (AEDP) by HEIs.

UGC Chairman, Prof. M. Jagadesh Kumar urges all eligible higher education institutions to take advantage of the AEDP, offering hands-on industry experience alongside academic learning. This is available for 3- and 4-year degree programmes, and aims to make students employment-ready by allowing them to spend up to four semesters in industry.

The draft guidelines will be open for public consultation and stakeholder comments in a few days.
