For the 6th time the MusicMakers Hacklab took place within CTM Festival to offer an open collaborative, interdisciplinary lab, allowing practitioners from a range of disciplines to create and play, and to find new ways of exploring the current and future potentials that lie in interfacing music with technology and other fields of practise.

Under the theme "The Hacked Mind" the CTM 2018 MusicMakers Hacklab invited participants to invent collaborative performances that embrace the chaos, strangeness, and cultural anxiety surrounding the theme of AI and Machine Learning.

The Hacklab brought together a wide range of coders and technologists, but also people from across artistic and research backgrounds, from musicians to poets to psychologists. The outcome of week of experimentation was presented in short performances at the HAU Hebbel am Ufer in Berlin.
