Vancouver Transit Action 2024

Описание к видео Vancouver Transit Action 2024

Man.... what a big year this was since 2019 or 2020. With new routes, new buses, upgrades, transfers and more.

The R6 Scott Road Rapidbus was launched, connecting Scott Road Station and Newton Exchange running primarily on Scott Road and 72 Avenue in Surrey and along the municipal border with Delta. Later, VTC routes 2 and 25 have both been articulated due to overcrowding. Then, the newly upgraded Phibbs Exchange was finished to provide a more convenient and relaxing place to wait for your next bus lol. We also get to see some old faces returning to routes that they used to run and some places that they haven't been for nearly a decade. Lastly, the new Capstan Station has been finally been opened after many delays.

All the New Flyer XDE60 (2022-2024) have all been delivered and are all in service, being operating by Burnaby Transit Centre. By the end of the summer, the new Novabus LFS CNGs have entered service and currently being operated by Hamilton Transit Centre. Shortly after, more Novabus LFSe+ have entered service and are also being operated by Hamilton Transit Centre.

Unfortunately, nothing lasts forever as the D40LFs have finally met their fate, including the D60LFRs that subsequently faded away from existence. Also, all the gray top community shuttles have all been retired as well. Along with some of our other aging fleet has also begun retirement which includes the C40LFRs, D40LFRs and 09 HEVs.
