Two Buttes is located in Prowers County, Colorado. At an elevation of 4,710 ft (1,435.6 metres), it's therefore the state's 4,384th highest mountain - making it the state's lowest!!! The south summit has 359 ft (109 metres) of prominence. The north summit is 30 ft (9 metres) "shorter." Because there's no significant drop in the connecting saddle the north summit is not considered to be a separate peak. Two Buttes is located 27 miles (43.5 km) west of the Kansas state line and about 100 miles (62 kilometres) due south of Mount Sunflower, the Kansas State highpoint.
