Elvis and Roy Orbison Perform "Bridge Over Troubled Water" [ Virtual Duet ]

Several commenters have requested a duet with Elvis and Roy Orbison. The problem is, these two rarely performed the same song, and typically sang in a different key (RO a little higher than Elvis). I wanted to find one that would do them both justice. So I ended up trying this version of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" with Elvis accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. It is epic enough to accommodate the coming together of these two great talents. And it is one of Paul Simon's greatest songs.

For this arrangement, Roy Orbison's vocals are extracted from a live performance and an un-released studio version. They are also downshifted to a lower key. Both of these processes leave some artifacts, and so his vocals are of lower quality than Elvis. Nonetheless I think they still sound great together, even if it is only a glimpse of what could have been. I added crowd noise to give the feel of a live performance, (and also to hide some of the artifacts).
