Why is Gita not taught in schools? Is Article 30 of the Indian Constitution behind this? According to this law, Hindus cannot give or take education of their 'Sanatan Dharma' in schools and colleges! Doesn't it seem strange? Under "Section 30", Muslims and Christians can run Islamic (Madrasa) and Christian (Convent) schools to teach their religion, but Hindus cannot run their Gurukul or traditional schools based on Vedic education! Which can preserve the main religion of the country Sanatan or Hindu religion and culture. If they do so, they will be punished under this law! It is compulsory for Muslim children to read and learn their religious book, the Quran, and the same rule applies to Christians! Because of Section 30, we cannot teach Bhagavad Gita in our schools and colleges, while this is our Sanatan Dharma country. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel strongly opposed this. Sardar Patel had said, "This law is a betrayal of Hindus! But it is a pity that this law was still implemented!
