If you struggle to get your preschooler to follow a morning or nighttime routine...
well, this is the quickest and easiest routine chart you will ever make...

✅️ All you need is...cardstock in 2 different colours, 1 sharpie (not even any coloured markers needed) and painter's tape.

✅️ No need to search online for the perfect and most aesthetic chart.

✅️ Preschoolers don't care how good or bad your drawings are, so just free hand your chart, and it'll save you so much time because you won't need to search or print it out.

✅️ Little ones get a visual and a sense of accomplishment. My almost 3 year old picked up on how to use this chart so fast because I kept it simple. All I cared about was the basic needs. Morning: potty/brush teeth, change clothes
Night: potty/ brush teeth, shower (but if not everyday, you can move a sticker over yourself), tidy up toys and pajamas. Allow them to move the stickers.

✅️ The best part is you can easily change it up, add a "sticker" as we like to call it or just draw a new chart if things change.

✅️ Keep it at child's level. I taped ours onto the wall just outside the washroom for reminder of the tasks.

Drawing it out myself was the best decision I made. Otherwise, I would've procrastinated and made excuses, saying I don't have time to search for the perfect routine chart. If I had not made this chart as quickly as I did, when I did, I'd still be battling with my little one about his basic hygienic needs.
Now instead of saying a million times "you need to shower" or "you need to brush your teeth". I just say let's check your chart and when he's done, I'd say let's update your chart and see what else needs to be done. Saves me time, energy and frustration for the both of us. Also I don't need to ask my spouse if our child has brushed their teeth yet, since sometimes it's done with either parents.
