Nakhoda Masjid Kolkata || History of masjid || Iftar Time

Nakhoda Masjid is the principal masjid in Kolkata which is situated in the burrabazar chitpur . It's was built by cutchi Memon business man Haji Zakariah . Cutchi Memon was the Muslim community who came in Calcutta after 1823 onwards. Haji Zakariah was a big businessman and a Sunni Muslim leader . During 1854 there was two old mosque, has he is a religious person he buyed that place and created this unique mosque.
The uniqueness of this place is that it 10000 people can pray here together. It was first established in 1926 11 September. If you want to take videos and pictures inside the mosque you should take permission from the mosque management.
