📖 What You’ll Learn in This Video:

1️⃣ What Is Voice in Grammar?
The voice of a verb tells whether the subject is performing the action or receiving it.

✔️ Active Voice:
The subject performs the action.
 👉 Example: Charan plays football.

✔️ Passive Voice:
The subject receives the action.
 👉 Example: Football is played by Charan.

2️⃣ Why Do We Use Passive Voice?
✅ To focus on the action rather than the doer.
✅ When the doer is unknown or unimportant.
✅ To sound formal or scientific in writing.

Example:
✔️ The letter was written yesterday.
✔️ The cake was baked by Meera.

3️⃣ Formation Rules of Passive Voice:
When changing a sentence from active to passive, follow these rules:

1️⃣ The object of the active voice becomes the subject in the passive voice.
2️⃣ The verb is changed to a form of be + past participle (V3).
3️⃣ The subject of the active voice becomes the agent in the passive voice (usually preceded by by).

Example:
✔️ Active: Rajat picks flowers.
✔️ Passive: Flowers are picked by Rajat.

4️⃣ Tense Conversion Table:

Tense Active Voice Passive Voice
Simple Present He sings a song. A song is sung by him.
Present Continuous She is cleaning the room. The room is being cleaned by her.
Present Perfect They have completed the project. The project has been completed by them.
Simple Past He wrote a letter. A letter was written by him.
Past Continuous They were painting the wall. The wall was being painted by them.
Simple Future She will finish the work. The work will be finished by her.
Future Perfect He will have solved the problem. The problem will have been solved by him.

5️⃣ Passive Voice in Interrogative Sentences:
✔️ Did Haider call you? → Were you called by Haider?
✔️ Have you ironed the dress? → Has the dress been ironed by you?

6️⃣ Passive Voice in Imperative Sentences:
We use “Let + object + be + past participle” to make imperative sentences passive.

Examples:
✔️ Close the window. → Let the window be closed.
✔️ Do not leave the door open. → Let not the door be left open.
