This parallel event for the 2024 CSW meeting focuses on the often-overlooked psychological impact of war on women, with a particular focus on ongoing conflicts in Armenia, Sudan, Haiti and Israel/Palestine. As conflict disrupts the lives of communities, women often bear a unique set of challenges, facing emotional and psychological traumas that demand nuanced approaches for recovery. This panel brings together experts in psychology, mental health, and conflict resolution to explore the psychological dimensions of women's experiences during war. By delving into the specific difficulties faced by women in these conflict zones, we aim to initiate a crucial conversation on effective strategies for coping and fostering emotional intelligence.
