Canon XA70: Slow Motion Hummingbirds

DISCLAIMER: The creator of this continent is an expert neither in photography nor video, just an immature amateur relaying a few things he discovered since recently purchasing a camcorder.

No color grading performed in post and it was an overcast day so I did not use ND filters, all filming was basically "out of the box" auto settings. I took a quick look at the scene using ND filters and everything looked overwhelmingly blue so that was a no go.

All shots 1080P 60 FPS: Slo mo shots were set at .4 speed (2 minutes of film = 5 minutes playback) and for comparison you can easily distinguish which shots were filmed at regular speed. 

The only clips NOT using the Canon XA70 are the opening and closing where you can see my big head wearing a helmet and shooting over my shoulder with a Sony ZV1, so don't blame those fuzzy shots on the XA70.

Only those opening and closing shots on the Sony ZV1 were handheld, everything else was filmed on the Canon XA70 mounted on a Cayer tripod.

No birds were referred to by inappropriate pronouns or otherwise harmed during the filming of this video. One tiny guy chased away a mockingbird but I was unable to capture it on film.
