"Scanning" appeared on Moments 001, a compilation that also featured a then-unknown Voiski. A seven-minute trip through bell tones and synth stabs, its tough drums and meaty low-end—particularly when they're beefed up two-thirds though—give it more grunt than most techno in this style. "And The Flying Saucer" is more reduced. Another jagged synth splutters atop the kick drum's chug, but there's more space in the mix, putting the focus on those stabs that feel more hypnotic than they should be. DJs played these tunes heavily when they came out, but I imagine no one would complain if they heard them again.
