DRIVE & KICK PASS

The Kick Out has become THE most important pass in 🏀 as the game evolves. If you can get in the paint, then you have to read the defense & make the right play! Finding an open shooter instead of forcing a contested shot can be the difference between winning & losing.

Here’s a few 🔑’s:
- Make yourself a threat 1st!(You won’t draw extra defenders if nobody thinks you’re shooting it)

- Get in the paint. ⬅️best way to get the defense’s attention. Know when to shoot/when to pass

- Know where your shooters are & trust your teammates to make shots!

- Anticipate Help Def WHILE you make your drive. Does the defense “help the helper”? Being 1 Step ahead is a BIG advantage

- Work on different types of passes from different angles! If you jump stop & 2 hand pass EVERY time, you become predictable🔽

- Practice against live defense to get a better feel for WHEN to pass & WHAT type of pass it should be!
