Marissa West is the founder and CEO of one of Charlotte’s hottest workouts, West Kept Secret. She’s also a former NFL cheerleader and began working in the fitness industry as a personal trainer. The demand for her training quickly outgrew home visits and her first garage gym, so Marissa opened her first brick and mortar studio in 2020. The WKS methodology combines cardio, strength training, and Pilates into one high intensity interval format. 


In addition to talking a lot about fitness, Marissa and Haven also discuss entrepreneurship, nutrition, overcoming perfectionism, new motherhood, leaning on others for help, and what it’s like to now train the Top Cats, the Carolina Panthers's NFL cheerleading team.
