Comeback Queen! Cameron “Killa Cam” Brink is back in action for the Los Angeles Sparks. After missing 13 months with an ACL injury and rehab, the 2024 2nd overall pick averaged 5.1 Points, 4.3 Rebounds and 1.4 Blocks in 19 games in the 2025 WNBA season, coming off of the bench. She only played 17 full games because of a slight leg injury in the New York game that limited her to just 5 minutes and unfortunately, (albeit the last game of the season) she suffered another season ending injury, this time to her nose and played less than 5 minutes in the season finale. Since Cam's return, she led the league in blocks off the bench and was 6th in the entire WNBA in blocks since June 29th, despite playing significantly less minutes than just about everyone in the top 10. Yes, her Per 36 block numbers are crazy! Block Beast! The Brink Wall! I will also add that she held opponents to 60.9% in the restricted area which is 2% below league average and she held opponents to 26.6% in the paint (non restricted area) which is 14% below the league average. Her defense is so elite. Then offensively, I didn’t expect much as she still hasn’t played a full rookie season’s worth of games. Also, she came onto an already established Los Angeles Sparks team more than halfway through the season, so I understand the difficulties of trying to integrate her into the offense. There were some flashes here and there, but I’m saving my expectations for when she’s starting, has a more consistent and solidified role on the team and she’s fully integrated into the Lynne Roberts offense that ended up being the 2nd highest scoring offense in the entire WNBA! I’m really excited for what Year 3 and Unrivaled will hold.
I believe in Cam Brink. I truly believe that she can be a very special player in the WNBA and I am excited to see how her career unfolds. Go Cam!
