Marc Chandler is a political economist, author, and professor with extensive experience covering the global capital markets for economic consulting firms and investment banks. He is currently the Chief Market Strategist at Bannockburn Global Forex since September 2018. Prior to that, he served as the Global Head of Currency Strategy at Brown Brothers Harriman for 13 years from October 2005 to September 2018.
Marc has also held positions as the Chief Currency Strategist at HSBC from May 2001 to October 2004, the Chief Currency Strategist at Mellon Bank from May 1999 to May 2001, and as a Senior Strategist at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell from April 1995 to November 1998.
In terms of education, Marc holds a Master's degree in Public and International Affairs, specializing in International Political Economy, from the University of Pittsburgh. He also has a Master's degree in American History from Northern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science & Humanities from North Central College.
Alongside his professional roles, Marc Chandler has been a professor of International Political Economy at New York University's School of Continuing and Professional Studies Center for Global Affairs. He has also served as a Senior Contributing Global Markets Editor at TheStreet and as a contributor for Seeking Alpha, where he is recognized as the top forex contributor for market opinion and analysis.
