My name is Mbaruk Omar,
and I am a fisherman by occupation.
I usually catch between 20 and 40 kilos of fish in a day.
I have registered to vote for a candidate of my choice
so that he/she may represent me.
The important thing is that you vote for someone you like.
Someone who will bring development here, such as education and fishing.
I need a bigger fishing boat so that I can fish in the deep sea
instead of fishing along the shore.
And the most important issue here is clean water for domestic consumption.
First, you must read and understand the candidate's policies
because there are some that are good and others that don't make sense at all.
My greatest fear is voting in someone I don't know
because I don't know if he will work for me or turn against me.
But if I vote for someone I'm familiar with, I know where to find him
and I will know how to deal with him if he does contrary to what I want.
I cannot vote for someone who's not from my tribe.
Because I don't know him.
I am not voting for people who dish out money.
I will vote in a candidate of my own choice, one who can work for me.
If I am bribed, the money will get used up,
and he will not work for me
since he already paid me.
Unlike the previous elections, this one will be peaceful.
I am very optimistic about the future.
