EVs are emerging as the preferred clean technology for the future of mobility. The economics of EVs has improved significantly, especially in battery and charging technologies, that are expected to reduce costs. To drive the growth of EV’s in India, Government think tank NITI Aayog, on 20th April 2022 released the draft battery swapping policy calling for a level playing field for EVs with fixed and swappable batteries.
