'Pathway to the Moon' is a spin of from the story told in 'Princess of the Lantern Maker'.

The story is about a princess who is forced to marry a prince she doesn''t like and forced to live a life she doesn't want. Her pursuit of freedom leads her to a mysterious but kind latern maker whose lanterns illuminate the forest in silvern light.

She falls in love with the lantern maker and the two lovers decide to leave their lives behind. To free the princess from her boundaries, the lantern maker sends a stairway of lanterns from the moon to the earth where the princess takes on her very last journey...
