The Mount Gell Circuit / Cheyne Range - Hiking in Tasmania

Описание к видео The Mount Gell Circuit / Cheyne Range - Hiking in Tasmania

The Gell group is a spectacular expanse of mountains separated by some beautiful alpine moors, tarns and dense scrub.

Located just west of Lake St Clair in the Mid West of Tasmania, we spent 4 days hiking the circuit, including summits of Mount Hugel, the Cheyne Range, Mount Gell and the Hippogriff. Camps were made at Lake Hermione, Mount Gell and the saddle between The Hippogriff and The Chimera utilising the Slingfin Hotbox 2P tent.

Mount Gell is a majestic dolerite-topped mountain and much of the Cheyne Range is a vast expanse of over 1000m high. The bulk of this hike is trackless, is challenging and should only be attempted by experienced hikers with sound navigational experience.

Joined by ‪@LucasChamberlain‬ , we had an amazing time tackling this fantastic mountain range.

Shot entirely in S-Cinetone with the Sony ZV-E1 (16-35mm F4 PZ), GoPro 11 and iPhone 14 Pro max.
