Oh, I want to tell you about this fabric and how it feels, but boy do words fail me. When I saw the dress in the product page, I thought it had the look of velvet in one sense, but not quite really. Now that it is in my hands I am still stumped to describe. But it is a strong fabric, though not as heavy as velvet, and it is soft, but not quite as textured as velvet. So, was that any help?
The fit is great. And since the fabric has an amazing ability to stretch (by amazing, I mean more than I would have thought considering the weight of the fabric), if you get it just a little bit small, it will still fit.
Mine is not a little too small, it is loose enough to leave me unhugged by the fabric, and undefined at the rounded tummy area, while still leaving me some sense of feminine shape. So, perfectly.
As for the details, you can see the ribbon effect over the bust – it really does make my bust look rounded and pretty, while remaining chaste and classy.
And the mesh, or rather tulle-like fabric around the hem – what a great idea. That is the final touch to make this dress stand out.
Anyway, I hope the video will help you determine the perfect size to grab for yourself. If you are my size and you like the way it fits me, I am wearing an XL. I am 5’9”, 160 pounds. 40 inches in the bust and hips, and 33 in the waist (which is three fingers above the belly-button).
