Torrevieja is een badplaats gelegen aan de Middellandse Zee, 41 km ten zuiden van Alicante in Spanje. De gemeente is 71 km² groot en heeft ongeveer 20 km kust. Vroeger was echter de zoutwinning uit de zoutmeren, de Salinas van Torrevieja en La Mata, de hoofdactiviteit.
