Описание к видео 1967 CANADIAN BOBCAT QUARTER

1967 CANADIAN BOBCAT QUARTER
The 1967 Canadian "Bobcat" quarter was issued to commemorate Canada's centennial. Designed by Alex Colville, the reverse features a Canadian lynx, symbolizing the country's wildlife heritage.
Composition & Silver Content
In 1967, due to rising silver prices, the Royal Canadian Mint produced these quarters in two compositions:

80% silver / 20% copper OR 50% silver / 50% copper

Both versions weigh 5.83 grams and have identical designs, making it difficult to distinguish between them visually. The average silver content across all 1967 quarters is approximately 0.121 troy ounces.

💰 Value
The value of a 1967 Bobcat quarter depends on its silver content and condition:
Melt Value: As of April 21, 2025, the melt value is approximately $4.91 CAD.

Circulated Coins: Typically range from $4.20 to $5.00 CAD.

Uncirculated or Mint State Coins: Can fetch higher prices, with MS-65 coins valued around $28.40 CAD and MS-66 coins up to $63.00 CAD.

Nickel Version:
A very small number (estimated to be between 5 and 10) were mistakenly struck in nickel.
These are extremely rare and can be worth a lot of money.
The nickel error coins can fetch high prices at auction, potentially up to $5,000
