Quando ho ascoltato questa canzone la prima volta, mi è sembrato quasi di sentire Anna che parla con Marco. Lo so che la cantante in realtà si sta rivolgendo a Dio, ma provate ad ascoltare bene. Nell'undicesima stagione Anna ha dovuto fare i conti con la perdita di Giovanni, con le convinzioni di sua mamma, ma anche la verità che le ha sbattuto in faccia Marco. Fare il Carabiniere, portare la divisa, preferire il vestito da Zorro a quello da principessa… tutte queste cose non la rendono meno femminile, anzi. E solo perché è un capitano non vuol dire che deve essere forte sempre e comunque: è umano sbagliare, soffrire, commuoversi.

Marco ha saputo amare Anna per quello che è ("you say I am loved") quando lei si è sentita abbandonata da Giovanni e da sua mamma ("when I can't feel a thing"). Marco le ha mostrato che non c'è niente di male a piangere quando si ha il cuore spezzato, e che c'è della forza anche nel mostrarsi deboli ("you say I am strong when I think I am weak"). E alla fine, lei gli ha creduto ("and I believe what you say of me").
