No Waste Thursday: what to do with all the lemon peels wed collected in previous reel ?

For citric fruit peels like lemons and oranges its best to make Bio-enzyme, here's why~

All you need for making bio-enzyme-
1:3:10 ratio of jaggery powder, fruit peels water!

Why add Yeast or culture?

BE usually gets ready in 3 months. But by

adding just 1 spoon premade bio-enzyme or yeast as a culture you can accelerate fermentation
Personally I prefer adding BE
over yeast so here am using all purpose cleaner by @urthy.in since its completely based on Bio-enzyme and essential oils!

Storage instructions:
its important to leave some space at top of bottle for gas build up as result of fermentation peeis process
for at least 10 days, open the lid of bottle once a day to release gas generated. Else the

carbon build up could kill good microorganisms or even burst your bottle you could mark date of creating bio-enzyme on bottle itself to keep a track of time

How do you use a bio-enzyme

Different ways you could use bio-enzymes are:

Floor cleaner: add 50ml of Bio Enzyme to a bucket of water to mop the floor. Preferable to use citric peels for stronger cleaning agent

Kitchen/bathroom cleaner: Sprinkle the Bio
Enzyme liquid, leave it for 20 minutes and scrub it.

Dishes/laundry: Add soap nut (Reetha) liquid to your bio-enzyme solution

Fertiliser for plants: Diluted Bio Enzyme is used as a liquid nutrient or liquid fertilizer for plants.

But why even use it?

It’s zero cost and zero waste!

The post-usage discharge is completely •
natural and even beneficial to soil and water,
while the use of chemical cleaning liquids contaminates our lakes, groundwater and soil.
