In 1987, the year Withnail & I was released, its creator, Bruce Robinson, wrote a letter to his friend and star of the film, Richard E. Grant, who at the time was away filming in Israel.

Jason Isaacs joined us to read it at Letters Live at Wilderness Festival, Oxfordshire, in the summer of 2023.
