Armour and Embarkation recreates the build up to D-Day in Dorset. Weymouth and Portland were one of the major embarkation ports for D-Day and they were headed for Bloody Omaha as depicted in the opening scenes of Saving Private Ryan. 

The lanes and villages of Dorset were rammed full of men, tanks and supplies needed for the invasion. The event time travels back to June 1944 to the eve of June 6th. The convoy travels the same routes as then did in 1944. This is exactly the sight, smells and sounds the people of Dorset would have seen rumbling through their countryside.
