It has come to my attention that an explanation is needed on my music. All of the songs that appear under OldKy.Bluesman & The Algorhythms are AI generated songs. Many current YouTube uploads are also AI generated and I obviously have no objections to that. I've heard some fine songs that have resulted from it. The one thing that separates MOST of those songs from mine is that my songs really are MY SONGS. While the majority of AI music is being done by folks that generate EVERYTHING to do with the song meaning the lyrics, the vocals, the instruments, etc. are accomplished simply by clicking the "Generate Button". In short there is little to no input by the "creator"/ poster at all. Why are my songs different ? I actually write every lyric to every one of my songs myself. I also compose the original rhyme scheme / melody myself. I choose the genre, the tempo, the instrumentation, whether the vocals are male or female, which instruments I do not want used, etc. and then when I do "generate" a song if the results aren't what I envisioned I try again sometimes generating as many as 20 versions of the song until I am satisfied with the results. So ... my music truly is MY MUSIC ! I may not sing or play on it but I do everything else and I do register my songs on BMI because I am the writer. It may not matter to you either way but you have the right to know what you are hearing.
I am posting this upload today to celebrate the first time one of my songs reached the 1,000 view level. That happened today with the blues version of I Don't Want You. As a result I am uploading this recently written and recorded song hoping maybe you all will appreciate it. I really like it myself and it gives me an opportunity to pay homage to those remarkable National Steel guitars from the 1930s. Nothing sounds better than a vintage National duolian or triolian being played by someone who truly knows how it's done. The lady in my song feels the same way and expresses her appreciation of them convincingly. I also pay homage to the late great Son House and reference Mississippi Fred McDowell's songs during the song. The electric version will be posted shortly so be looking for it.
