"Sugarloaf Mountain – An Appalachian Gathering," created and directed by Jeannette Sorrell, explores the Celtic roots of Appalachian music while following the stories of the Irish and Scottish immigrants who crossed the Atlantic to build new lives in the Appalachian mountains of America. The 2018 international tour was sponsored by the Ulster Scots Agency/Discover Scotch-Irish, and included concerts at the Irish National Concert Hall (Dublin), the Irish National Opera House (Wexford), Belfast Castle, and the Snape Proms (Aldeburgh Festival, UK).
