Glacier Park Lodge sit on the eastern border of Glacier National Park on the Blackfeet Reservation. It is the first thing you see when you get off the train at the Amtrak station. We were astounded by the Douglas Fir trunk pillars inside the lobby! There was so much more to see and learn about once we got inside.
From the lodge's website: Situated at the southeast corner of Glacier National Park, Glacier Park Lodge was the first hotel built by the Great Northern Railway. It's been the first stop on visitors' Glacier vacations for decades. Inside the historic hotel, Douglas Fir logs tower over the lobby, a fire crackles in the stone fireplace and guests gather to share stories of the day’s adventures.
