Swedish, Finnish & French Marines Operate from USS Gunston Hall.

Swedish, Finnish and French Marines joined up with USS Gunston Hall (LSD-44) a Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship at the Port of Harstad, Norway.
This was a training operation as part of Steadfast Defender 2024, NATO’s largest exercise in decades.

The Swedish brought along their CB-90 Fast Assault Craft and working with USS Gunston Hall Navy Sailors conducted Well deck operations with French Le Bataillon de Fusiliers Marins (BFM) Détroyat and Finnish Marines assigned to the Nyland Brigade.

Further operations were conducted along the Andfjorden waterway and on land at Torvik, Norway, this time joining up with Italian Marines.
