King Jammy's Live, 37 Waltham Park Rd (1985)

This dance took place at the "Entertainment Complex", 37 Waltham Park Road, one of the popular 80s dancehall lawns in Kingston, Jamaica. A "lawn" was the general name for a location where sound systems played for the public. I filmed this dance, and also the video with Black Star, for Jah World, a popular dancehall promoter in the 80s. I also filmed a dance with Wah Dat for super radio personality, Barry G, at this location, and one also for the Boogie Wonderland Syndicate. Artists performing at this dance include Chakademus, John Wayne, Admiral Bailey, Philip Fraser, Tonto Irie, Welton Irie, White Mice, Angel Doolas. and DJ Danny Dread.
